To ensure your safety and the best possible experience, please read these care guidelines carefully before purchasing or lighting your candle. While our candles are designed to bring warmth and comfort to your home, they are an open flame and can lead to serious accidents if not properly monitored and maintained.
To get the most out of your candle and ensure it burns beautifully from the first light to the very last drop of wax, please follow these essential steps.
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep away from drafts, ceiling fans, and flammable objects.
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
The first time you light your candle is the most important. Allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the jar. This creates a “melt pool” and prevents tunneling—that annoying ring of hard wax left around the sides that wastes your candle.
Before every single light, trim your wick to 1/4 inch (approx. 6mm).
Why? A long or “mushroomed” wick creates a flame that is too large, leading to soot, smoke, and an uneven burn.
Don’t be a “power burner.” Avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
Safety First: If the wax becomes entirely liquid, the wick can drift to the side, potentially overheating the glass.
Keep your candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface away from:
Drafts: Ceiling fans and open windows cause the flame to flicker and create black soot.
Flammables: Keep away from curtains, books, and pets.
The Reach of Children and Pets: Always burn your candle within sight! and dont leave it unattendend
It’s tempting to burn every last drop, but you should stop using your candle when only 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom. Lighting a candle without enough wax can cause the glass jar to crack or shatter.
Candles are sensitive to their environment. To keep them fresh:
Cool & Dark: Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can yellow the wax and fade the scent.
Lids On: Use a lid to keep dust off the wax and to preserve the fragrance “throw” when the candle isn’t in use.
Stay Upright: Always store candles vertically to prevent warping or leaking, especially in warmer months.
Dip, Don’t Blow: Use a wick dipper to push the wick into the wax pool to extinguish it. This eliminates the “smoky” smell that lingers after blowing a candle out.
Keep it Clean: If soot builds up on the inside of the glass, wait for it to cool and wipe it away with a damp paper towel to keep your candle looking pristine.
